FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• How long is class? Classes are about 45 minutes long.
• What's in store during class?
All classes are full of singing, dancing, clapping, laughing and playing with easy instruments you can find at home or purchase directly from Music Together • What will my child learn?
Music Together is designed to teach the way young children learn: through play. During each music class, Music Together teachers Heather, Jose and Chris will lead music activities for the whole family to sing, play, and jam along. Each class is designed as an active music-making experience for little ones and their grownups.
• How many families are in classes?
Classes are double-teacher classes and will have a maximum of 15 families of newborns to five year olds, not counting siblings (Sibs are FREE). Grandparents, uncles, aunts, or any adult who loves your child are welcome to sing and dance with us at any or all classes!
• Can I register late for a class? Yes. We can work something out. Contact us. Tuition a little tough? Call us. We'll make it work!
• Should I expect my child to sing, dance and play instruments in class? Not at all! All children have their own stages and ages of musical participation. Your child does not need to do anything except watch you or others keep a beat or sing a simple melody along with EVERYONE else in outdoor face-to-face classes.
• What if my child is shy or hesitant to move? All children are unique, all develop at a different rate than others. The best thing is when you gently move or sing along with us, or keep gentle beat on their body during a song.
• What if my child needs to wander? Wandering is very normal for toddlers as they are just learning how to walk. They often need to explore the room. Wandering for a two year old and older is perfectly natural as well.
